The Influence of Interface Roughness on the Vibration Reduction Characteristics of an Under-Platform Damper

Analysis of the vibration reduction characteristics shock absorbers is crucial for engines. In this study, fractal theory was applied to contact surface an under-platform damper (UPD), and influence excitation force in same opposite directions on roughness studied. First, based geometry (FGT), characterization method a UPD proposed. Then, friction mechanical model rough established by combining it with 3D model. Furthermore, finite element dynamic blade structure set up. Next, harmonic balance used calculate nonlinear response under different levels roughness. Finally, ability modes analyzed. According simulation results, as became rougher, suppression stronger stronger. With change centrifugal amplitude same/reverse force, influencing law remained unchanged, indicating that rougher roughness, better effect.
